Genuinely, just bringing yourself in athletic clothes can be enough. We have gi’s for rent, if you want a gi. Bring a towel and soap if you want to shower at the gym after class. Water is recommended, however, can typically be purchased at both locations.
Yes! Both locations have changing rooms, lockers, and showers. You will have to bring your own towel and soap, though.
Simply show up! There is no need to schedule in advance, just check the schedule for the class time that works for you, and go!. It is helpful to be 10 minutes early so you can get to know the coach, and gain a little comfort in the room. The hardest BJJ class to go to is always the first one, so by simply walking through the door, you have already accomplished something difficult.
At Urban Leopard, we don’t discriminate on our yes gi, or no gi friends. All classes can be completed in a gi, or shorts and a rash guard, it’s completely up to you!
Yes! We offer a 1 week free trial for Chiang Mai residents. We want you to have the opportunity to get to know us, and make sure we are the right fit for you, without having to make a financial commitment right away.
No experience is necessary! We teach all of our classes in the ecological style, which is a fancy way to say we use an exploratory play style. The newest beginner can train and learn with our most experienced member, and they will both be able to get something from the lesson.
